Joanne Kee Pearson Joanne Kee Pearson age 74 ascended into her heavenly home on Monday, August 13, 2012. Joanne was born on March 26, 1938 in Tigrett, Tennessee to Louise and T.L. Kee. She graduated from Dyersburg High School with the class of 1956. After completing one year of college at the University of Tennessee at Martin, Joanne moved to Memphis and started her career for General Motors. While at General Motors Joanne met the love of her life, Ben Pearson. Ben and Joanne were married on April 15, 1961 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Ben knew he would never miss their anniversary if they were married on tax day. After traveling all over the United States Ben and Joanne settled in Tulsa, Oklahoma where they raised their three daughters. Joanne was a wonderful wife and loving mother. Her daughters always knew their mother was just a phone call away. Joanne was an avid gardener and loved to cook for her family. But the most favorite part of her life would be when she became 'Granny Jo'. She was adored by all of her five grandchildren. Granny loved to play games and talk with her grandchildren and she kept her refrigerator stocked with all of their favorite treats. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents: T.L. and Louise Kee and her husband: Ben Pearson. She is survived by her brother, Tommy Kee and his wife Connie of West Palm Beach, Florida and her three daughters: Penny Shelton and her husband Brett, Susie Douglas and her husband Alan and Candie Pearson. She will also be dearly missed by her five grandchildren: Matthew, Michael and Katie Douglas of Broken Arrow and Sara and Joey Shelton of Collinsville. Graveside services will be held Friday, August 17, 2012 at Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow.
