Joanne Sharon Willey's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Joanne: A Tribute to a Loving Grandmother and a Free Spirit.
We come together to celebrate the life of Joanne, a woman with a vibrant spirit and endless love to give. Joanne had many passions and joys in life whose love for and dedication to family, especially her grandchildren, literature, traveling, crafting, square dancing, and volunteering were testaments to her energetic and lively nature. But above all else, Joanne’s greatest passions were her children and grandchildren. The role she played in the lives of her eight grandchildren brought her tremendous joy. She shared her love of books and reading with her family igniting the same passion in her grandchildren by introducing them to wonderful new worlds of imagination. She was proud of her family’s accomplishments and passions as she watched them grow in her footstep pursuing their dreams and enjoying life unapologetically. As we bid farewell to Joanne, we are reminded of the profound impact she had on all who were touched by her presence. Her endless supply of love to give serves as a reminder that life is meant to be lived for family, passionately, and authentically.
Joanne leaves behind cherished memories in the hearts of her husband Larry Goodale; her sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Angie Willey, Gary and Wendy Willey, and Roger and Lisa Willey; her grandchildren Chèla Willey-Forney and Andrew Forney, Marissa and Kevin Rotellini, Clarisa Willey, Gary Willey Jr, Olivia Willey, Alexa Willey, Vincent Willey, and Owen Willey; and great grandchildren Giovanni Rotellini; and Ronan Forney. She also leaves behind lifelong best friends Theresa Bailey and Elva Hutchinson, in addition to a community of friends and colleagues who were touched by her radiant spirit. She is reunited with her first husband Lawrence Willey; her brother Robert Wieland; her sisters Marilyn Perman, and Shirley Madison; and her parents George Wieland and Agnes Hurley.
