Johanna Vesanen 89 passed this life on February 11, 2011 at her home here in Tulsa. She was born November 12, 1921 in Kyyjarvi Peuralinna, Finland. Her parents were Nikolai and Hilda (Huumarkangas) Korte. She was an assembly line person for Abbott Labs. She is survived by her son and daughter- in- law Joel and Ruth Vesanen, Daughters and sons in law, Raakel Anneli Vesanen and Benjamin Warner Newby, Laura Elizabeth Vesanen and Stephen B. Katz. Grandchildren Anja and MikeBrokow; Natasha and Darshan Phillips; Mia and Greg Perkins; Hani, Arieh, Talia, and Mikaela Katz; and great-grandchildren Soloman Phillips and Sasha Brokaw.
