John Graham was my Uncle. He was my go to 'Dad' when mine was unavailable. He taught me how to look a person in the eye when you shake their hand – firm with meaning for a man, not so firm but gentle for a lady, how to season and cook a ribeye, waterski, chill hot beer, how to choose the proper clothes for the proper occasion and to tie the perfect Windsor knot. These are just a few of the many things my Uncle John thought me. One of my favorite memories is helping Uncle John and my Dad unload a very large cardboard box into our garage. This box had an emblem of a seahorse on it and I asked Uncle John what it was, his response was priceless, "this is your Aunt Sally's anniversary present!" To buy your wife a new outboard for their boat was, in the eyes of a little boy, just the coolest thing possible. Unbenost to me he had already purchased a much smaller box that contained a beautiful ring for my Aunt Sally. My Uncle John was without a doubt the definition of a man. There were many times I would call him and seek his counsel on many subjects. He was my Uncle John. There is one ginormous void in my heart from his passing but I will fill that space with the many wonderful memories spent with my Uncle John.Allen Perritt
