John Wesley Andrews' Obituary
John Wesley Andrews, 72, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home on March 25, 2016. John was born on January 13, 1944, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Paul and Pauline Andrews. He grew up in Tulsa and graduated from Will Rogers High School in 1962. After high school he served in the Air Force from 1962-1966. John and Barbara married in 1984. They were soul mates, and happily married for 32 years. He enjoyed spending his free time trail riding, fishing, and camping with friends and family. He also took great pleasure in golfing with his coworkers at Tulsa Winch. He retired from Tulsa Winch after 37 years, then worked an additional 6 years for owner and friend, Terry Stennett of Winches, Inc., Odessa, Texas. John is survived by his spouse Barbara; his son Kevin of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his daughter Corey DeLano of San Diego, California; his step-son Doug Lovett and his wife Heather of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his siblings James and his wife Norma, Anita Springer and her husband Gene, and Gerald and his wife Karen; and his grandchildren Cara Dodson and her husband Andrew, Mackenzie Simpson, Aaron Mears, Desiree Tipps and her husband Blane, Jonathan Andrews and Anthony DeLano; 4 great-grandchildren; along with nieces, nephews and other relatives. John was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Pauline; his nephew Brian; and his step-daughter Shane Simpson. A small service will be held for friends and family at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, located at 6500 South 129th East Avenue, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. The family would like to offer a special thank you to the nurses and staff of Rose Rock Healthcare’s hospice department for their outstanding care, and compassion and support.
