John William Brown's Obituary
John William Brown, born September 17, 2008 to Joslin Joseph and Narson Samuel in Tulsa, OK and left his earthly home on July 21, 2025. John gave Alecia and Bahati Brown the honor of becoming his parents on July 23, 2018.
A tremendously gifted singer and performer, John had a natural stage presence and a voice that could light up a room. Whether he was entertaining a crowd or making his friends laugh with a perfectly timed prank, he was always the center of attention—in the best way possible. His love for theatre, painting and the culinary arts revealed a precious, creative soul who could turn the ordinary into something beautiful and meaningful.
John was a loyal friend, a constant source of laughter, and a proud prankster with a mischievous grin. His sense of humor was unmatched—ornery in the most lovable way. He was known for lifting spirits, bringing people together, and making sure no one ever felt alone.
Above all, John loved deeply and cherished his family, both his family by birth and his family by choice. His fierce loyalty and affection for them were evident in everything he did. His legacy is one of joy, talent, loyalty, and love.
John’s presence will be missed beyond words, but his memory will continue to bring smiles, laughter, and inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
John is preceded in death by his grandpa William “Bill” Paschal, nephew Esias Tonis, and niece E’Maya Samuel.
John is survived by his mother Alecia Brown, father Bahati Brown, sisters Narlene, Njerin, Jusin, Krestlyn (Kiki), Tresann, and Endelea (Laya), brother Jerry, grandparents Nancy and Randy Smith, Lakey and Gayle Brown, beloved nephews Jenson, Travis, Jayden, EJ, and Elias and niece Lahnii, along with a great host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The Gonzalez and Kepford families also held a special place in his heart.
