John Charles Butcher's Obituary
John Charles Butcher was born in Gary, Indiana on July 12th 1961. He went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 22rd in the early morning surrounded by family. John was a strong believer and had a thriving relationship with Jesus. He volunteered often at Life Church South Tulsa and used his warm, welcoming personality to make members feel at home. An avid sports fan, John loved the Oklahoma Sooners and followed the OKC Thunder and the Chicago Cubs closely and passionately. His most passionate sport however, was watching and coaching his own children in golf and basketball. John is survived by his two children, Johnny and Audrey and one grandchild. His love for the Lord is most prominently displayed in his two children’s relationship with Jesus. His legacy will be continued by all who knew him and were impacted by his kindness and warmth; from members of his family, to those he had just met.Viewing will be held Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Floral Haven Funeral Home.Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 26, 2018 at Life Church in Broken Arrow with Pastor Greg Pinkston.Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnny Butcher, Ben Castles, Jason Graham, Josh Gibbons, Craig Graham, Bill Butcher, Roger Carter, Matt Wagle and Tyler Davis.
