John Kevin Calvert passed from this life on April 2, 2024, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. John was born May 28, 1957, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Eugene Ray and Rosalie (Arrington) Calvert.
John had a love of firetrucks and getting the fire trucks all lined up alongside his bed. He enjoyed playing as a 911 dispatcher sending the first responders. John was a precious man with a very sweet spirit. He had his way with the girls. He would ask his family to bring him some of his favorite, Root Beer and Candy. Now with that candy he would give out to the nurses and say, “Here you go Babe”.
John is survived by his sister, Sallie Meyer and her husband Joe; nieces and nephews, Rebakah Calvert, Irene Harper, Joe Meyer III, Albert Meyer, and Heidi Meyer; several grand nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Ray and Rosalie Calvert; brother, David Ray Calvert; and grandmother, Ena Arrington.
Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Floral Haven Funeral Home and the funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Friday, April 12, 2024, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
