John Clifford Harrison's Obituary
John Clifford “Bud” Harrison, a resident of Broken Arrow, passed away January 14, 2017 at the age of 90. He was born April 1, 1926 to John Ratekin Harrison and Gladys (Coates) Harrison in Checotah, Oklahoma.He graduated from Checotah High School in 1944 and served in the United States Army during WWII. He was training to serve in the anti aircraft division , where he received a rating of expert pistol shot and rifle marksman before sustaining leg and foot injuries in field practice, which kept him sidelined. John retired from Beechcraft in Wichita, Kanas as a computer programmer in 1988 and moved to Broken Arrow in 1989 to be near his family and was an avid sports fan.He was preceded in death by his parents, John Ratekin and Gladys Harrison; brother, Robert Eugene Harrison and sister, Ruth Claire Goodson.Survivors include his sister-in-law, Darla Harrison; nieces and nephews, Ruth Ann Moore, Jona Schweinberg, Mike Harrison, Kari Sharp and Lindsey Peale.Private Family Services will be held at a later date.
