John C. Cochran's Obituary
John Cochran, 65, was a resident of Mounds, OK. He was born on December 27, 1953, in East Liverpool, Ohio, to Clifford “Duke” Cochran and Ruth (Cottrill) Cochran. He graduated to his eternal home in heaven on April 24, 2019. He is survived by his wife, Kim; his two daughters Melody Aiken and Elisabeth Kennedy, and his son John-Michael Cochran; his two sisters Diane Glover and Clara Sell; one brother Steve Cochran; and nine grandchildren. John attended college in Tulsa, earning an Associate Degree in Electronics. In 1975, he joined the Army, was assigned to the infantry, and later received an honorable discharge. He and Kim met at Grace Fellowship Church in Broken Arrow, and married in 1995. They moved to Ohio to be with his parents and returned to Oklahoma in 2014. When they found The Bridge Church, John felt like he had returned home, until he went to his eternal home on April 24. If you knew John, you knew he loved God, people, life, and family, always joking and making people smile. With his big spirit, yet gentle manner, John never knew a stranger. He wrote a book, “Transform8ion,” based on Romans 12:2. As John said in his book, “We will surely meet on the other side. This time forever.” You take over. I’m about to die, my life an offering on God’s altar. This is the only race worth running. I’ve run hard right to the finish, believed all the way. All that’s left now is the shouting—God’s applause! Depend on it, he’s an honest judge. He’ll do right not only by me, but by everyone eager for his coming. ~ 2 Timothy 4:7-8 (THE MESSAGE
