John William Goins' Obituary
Goins, John W. – 86, of Tulsa (previously of Skiatook), went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, February 26, 2008. John was born July 26, 1921 in Marble City, Oklahoma. He served his country in World War II in the United States Army 361st Field Artillery Battalion. The Bronze Star Medal and Bronze Arrowhead are among his many decorations and citations. John was a retired Southwestern Bell PBX repairman. He enriched the lives of all who knew him and he will be greatly missed. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, the Garden of Devotion in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. The family will receive visitors from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Friday, February 29th, 2008 at Floral Haven Funeral Home. Floral Haven 252-2518Survived By: his two daughters, Linda Goins of Tulsa and Cindy Goins of Tulsa, one brother, Floyd Goins (and Edith) of Skiatook, and one sister Virginia Jordan (and Leonard) of Fresno, California and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Juanita (Runels) Goins, his parents, one brother and one sister.
