John is survived by his loving spouse of 57 years, Suzanne Green, whom he married on February 11, 1967. He was a proud father to Michael Green, and David Green and his wife Sarah. His joy was multiplied by his grandchild, Grace Green. His extended family and a host of friends will forever cherish his memory.
John was a man of many talents and passions. He was a dedicated woodworker and builder, his crowning achievement being the barn he built with his own hands. His craftsmanship was a testament to his patience, precision, and creativity.
A veteran of the Air Force, John served his country with honor and pride. His commitment to service extended into his spiritual life as well. As a long-standing deacon of his church, he provided guidance and support to his community, embodying the principles of faith, hope, and charity.
John also worked with the Baptist Men Association in disaster relief, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to helping those in need. His compassion and selflessness were an inspiration to all who knew him.
John’s departure leaves a void that cannot be filled. But his spirit lives on in the hearts of those he touched. His life was a testament to the power of love, service, and dedication. As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate his life and the positive impact he made on the world.
