John Hardison's Obituary
John Adalian (J.A.) Hardison, 93, of Claremore passed from this life, Tuesday, March 24, 2020. He was born August 10, 1926 in Inola, OK, to Cora Piquet Hardison and Willie B. Hardison. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cora and Willie and his wife of 55 years, Charlotte Elfrieda (Hauser).
He is survived by 4 children, Barbara Lee Hardison (Clare) of Redford MI, Linda Christine Hardison-Welc of Ray Twp., MI, Michael John Hardison (JoNell) of Chelsea OK, Jay Lynn Hardison (Rob) Thompson of Coweta OK, 10 grandchildren Christine, Amy, Jeffrey, Christian, Kelli, Steven, B.J., John, Shelby, Molly and 20 Great Grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Bobby G. Hardison of Pharr, TX.
J.A. served in the Navy during World War II in 1945-46. He married Charlotte on January 4, 1948 in his home town.
After leaving the Navy, J.A. worked as a carpenter for the Tulsa Board of Education. He moved to Michigan with his family in 1962 to take over his stepfather’s Borden Milk Route. After moving back to Oklahoma, the family settled in Claremore, where J.A. took over his Uncle Gus’ school supply business, which he worked alongside his wife Charlotte until retirement.
J.A. enjoyed bowling, swimming, poker, telling stories and jokes as well as cooking for family get-togethers. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him but we are sure that he is at peace after being reunited with Charlotte.
Services and Interment will be private due to the COVID 19 outbreak.
