John Charles Huskinson's Obituary
John Charles Huskinson, 89, went home to be with Jesus on December 24th, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on January 7th, 1928 in Bristow, Oklahoma to Tom and Vernal Huskinson. He was a loving husband to Stella Huskinson for 66 years. They met while attending Oklahoma A&M (Oklahoma State University) and married on June 10th, 1951. They had two children, Linda Porter resident of Tulsa, OK and John Huskinson resident of Flower Mound, Texas.John graduated from Oklahoma A&M with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. He started his career at DuPont Chemicals and retired as vice president of Vinson Supply Co. He was honorably discharged as a 1st lieutenant in the Air Force Reserve in 1962.John was the biggest Oklahoma State football fan and spent many of his summers at Grand Lake, Oklahoma. He was known by his grandchildren and great grandchildren as “Great John.” He was kind, humble, full of love, and beyond great.John is survived by his wife, Stella Huskinson, sister, Ruth Davidson, daughter, Linda Porter and her husband, Lindel Porter, son, John Huskinson, Jr. and his wife, Susan Huskinson, grandson, Nick Pollaro and his wife, Meredith Pollaro, granddaughter, Hollie Shipley and her husband, Gary Shipley, grandson, Matt Huskinson and his wife, Megan Ann Huskinson, grandson, Brian Huskinson, granddaughter, Emily Heath and husband, Ryne Heath, great grandgirls, Aspen Mary Pollaro, Maison Anne Huskinson, Nora Grae Shipley, Makensie Rose Huskinson, Myer Michelle Huskinson, Lila Elizabeth Shipley, and great grandboy, Ash John Pollaro along with numerous family ad friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.There will be a celebration of his life held on what would have been his 90th birthday, 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 7th, 2018 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel. After the service a gathering will be held at 2911 E. 103rd Pl. Tulsa, OK.
