I wrote on our gift card “remember the watermelon”. When I was 10, I grew for the first time a watermelon; and it was beautiful! I couldn’t wait to pick it and bring it to the table as THE watermelon that I had so painstakingly grew. The day I went out to check on it, I found it broken and smashed in the back yard on top of a bunch of Monty’s army men. I went to Monty and asked him WHAT happened to my watermelon. He calmly told me “I needed a bomb”.
