John Edward Lucas' Obituary
John E. Lucas was born July 11, 1946, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Paul and Lucille Lucas. John went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 26, 2015. John graduated from College High School in Bartlesville in 1964. He also was a graduate of Oklahoma State University, majoring in accounting. John worked as an accountant for Fourth National Bank, Cities Service Petroleum in Tulsa and Occidental Petroleum in Tulsa and Houston, retiring in 2007. John served our country faithfully in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He was awarded the Bronze Star and numerous other medals. John married Connie in Stillwater in 1971. John is survived by his wife, Connie; son, Mark Lucas of Colorado; grandson, Matthew Lucas of Jenks, Oklahoma; brother David Lucas (Rogelia) of Tullahoma, Tennessee; and sister, Mary Rudisell (Randy) of Ootelwah, Tennessee, as well as, two nieces: Robin Blankenship,and Lori Gordon, and Nephews: Robert Lucas, Chris Lucas, and Scott Davis and several great-nieces and nephews; and his beloved furry cat: Snickers. John was preceded in death by his parents; niece: Sherry Gonzalez and his beloved furry cat, Lefty. A chapel service will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 31, 2015, at the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, 6500 S. 129th E Avenue, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John’s name and hnour to Alzheimer’s Association or Clarehouse Hospice, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
