John Lawrence McPartland, Jr.'s Obituary
John Lawrence McPartland, Jr., a beloved husband, brother, and friend, passed away on August 8, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 69. Born on October 22, 1954, in Illinois, John was the cherished son of John Lawrence McPartland, Sr. and Patricia Ann Flynn McPartland.
John married the love of his life, Kristine “Kris” Marie Redanauer, on October 11, 1986. Together, they built a life filled with love, music, and cherished moments. John was a passionate musician, dedicating many years to his craft and nurturing a deep love for Rockabilly, Blues, Rock & Roll, and Surf music. His talent and enthusiasm for music were evident to all who knew him.
A true homebody, John found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was a devoted cat lover, sharing his home with his beloved fur babies: Baby, Butters, Jerzee, Willow, and Dani. He also had a unique hobby of building and refurbishing guitars, a testament to his creativity and skill. John was known for his love of junk food, a small but endearing quirk that brought smiles to those around him.
John is survived by his loving wife, Kris Redanauer of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; his four siblings, Paul McPartland and his wife Erin Farrell of Needham, MA, James McPartland and his wife Nita of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Susan Amyx and her husband Tom of Clever, MO, and Sally Cox of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family members who will miss him dearly.
John was preceded in death by his parents, John Lawrence McPartland, Sr. and Patricia Ann Flynn McPartland.
The family will hold a celebration of John’s life at a later date, where they will gather to honor and remember the wonderful person he was. John’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
