John Walter Ott's Obituary
John Walter Ott, age 85 of Tulsa, Oklahoma, went to be with The Lord on December 21, 2020. He was born on January 14th, 1935 in Jefferson City, Missouri to Walter Simon and Cora Viola Ott.
John was preceded in death by two children: infant Bryan Walter Ott and 14-year-old Andrea Darlyne Ott; his parents Walter and Cora Ott, his sister Margaret Ann Ott and his Sister-In-Law Helen Ott.
John leaves to cherish his memory: his children Ranae Ott Choate, Vivian Ott Parker (husband Paul), Kevin Lyle Ott (wife Charity); his grandchildren Pacey Aaron Ott, Ashlan Andrea Ott and Elijah Joel Ott; his siblings Ronnell Ray Ott and Alice May Ott Dabney; two nieces, a nephew, a grand niece and many other family and friends.
John served in the Army and was a High-Speed Radio Operator during the Korean War. John never retired from working. He was a designer draftsman and a nuclear startup engineer. The last 30 years of his career were spent at Walmart. John became a Messianic Jew later in life and was a cherished and active member of Calvary Messianic Congregation. He loved The Lord with all of his heart and his relationship with God sustained him through many trials in life. He was a lover of nature and admired the beauty of God’s creation all around him. He enjoyed family get togethers and sharing a good meal. He loved to sing and had a booming clear voice that carried far and wide.
A funeral service to celebrate John’s life will be held on Monday, December 28th at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel at Floral Haven with interment to follow at Floral Haven Cemetery.
