John Melvin Peterson passed away Monday, November 18, 2019. He would have turned 92 on November 27th.John was born and raised in Henning, Minnesota, joined the U.S. Navy in early 1945, and married LaVerne Christensen also from Henning in December of 1945.John was a long time member of Arrow Heights Baptist Church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.His passions were designing Experimental aircraft for Ryan Aeronautical Co. in San Diego, California, sailing the coast and bays in San Diego, and most importantly Bible prophesy and evangelism.John is survived by his daughter and son in law, his granddaughter and husband and two great granddaughters.Services will be held at 10 am on Saturday, November 23 at Arrow Heights Baptist Church – 3201 S Elm Pl, Broken Arrow, OK 74012In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to John 3:16 Missions of Tulsa, or to a charity of choice.
