John Roy Pickett, 73, resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019. John was born April 25, 1945 in Bristow, Oklahoma to James and Margaret Pickett. John served in the United States Air Force. He built a computer from a kit before computers were even around. He wrote and published his own novel “River of Gold River of Blood.” John enjoyed sailing and playing the trumpet. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.John is preceded in passing by his parents. he is survived by his daughter, Heather Pickett; son, Joshua Pickett; grandchildren, Sabrina Wright and her husband, Dallin and Josh Pickett; sister, Jean Ann Nicklas and her husband, Lee; sister, Dorothy Sanderlin and her husband, Clay; sister, Donna Dickson and her husband, William; brother, Dan Pickett and numerous other family members and friends.Visitation will be 5-7 pm, Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Floral Haven Funeral HomeFuneral Service will be 3:00 pm, Friday, March 8, 2019 at Floral Haven Funeral Home ChapelIn lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Johns Medical Center @ https://www.stjohnhealthsystem.com
