John Lee Richardson's Obituary
John Lee Richardson, 67, died Monday, July 27, 2015 at his home in Tulsa. Graveside services and burial will be at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Floral Haven Funeral Home, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. John was born Johnny Lee Richardson on December 8, 1947 in Tulsa to Earlie Lee and Betty Jane (Santoz) Richardson. He moved to LaHabra, California with his family at an early age. He began school there and graduated in 1967. He attended a technical college but soon after he was inducted into the Armed Forces of the United States. John received the Good Conduct Medal as well as a Marksmanship Medal while serving in Viet Nam. He wore his Veteran’s cap proudly. Upon completion of his military service, he met and married Colleen Richardson. To this union two children were born. John worked in an industrial field during those years. One of his hobbies was restoring old trucks and riding his motorcycle through the mountains. In 1990, John moved back to Broken Arrow where he worked several jobs in maintenance. He was very good at repairing, restoring and remodeling. He worked at Gatesway Foundation in Broken Arrow in the maintenance department before retiring in 2009. John enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles. He put together over 16 1000+ pieces of different jigsaw puzzles and made frames for all of them. He enjoyed showing them to friends who came by. John attended Victory Christian Center on and off for the last ten years. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as is personal savior. John was preceded in death by his parents, Earlie & Betty Richardson. He is survived by his daughter, Nicole Richardson Morris of Nevada, son, Joshua Richardson of California, one Aunt of Sand Springs, Oklahoma and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His closest friends, more like family over the last 10 years, who also cared for him during the latter months of his life are Naomi Butcher Johnson & Darryl Johnson. We love and miss you, but we’ll see you again!
