John Hueitt Swift, 85, was born on April 17, 1933 and passed away on November 27, 2018.John was a member of mulitple organizations, including the Elks and Oklahoma Optimist International. He loved to build projects from wood or other materials (according to his wife, Ginger’s specifications). But, what he enjoyed most of all was spending time out on the lake. If fact, he loved it so much, he built his retirement home on the waterfront of Grand Lake- a home he and his family were able to enjoy for almost 15 years.John is preceded in death by his parents Howard M. and Alta Jane Swift; siblings Gerald Swift, Howard Swift, and Alta Mae Everett; son Jerry L. Swift; and great grandson Trey Alan Toler.He is survived by his wife of 66 years Virginia E. Swift; son Steven R. Swift; daughter Connie and husband Faron Williams; grandchildren Jerry L. and wife Tina Swift II; Stephanie and husband Tony Swift; Sbrina Swift; Steven and wife Christie Swift II; Jessica Swift; Johnathon and wife Rachel Williams; Farah and husband Patrick Toler; Justin and wife Janie Williams; Jaron and wife Amanda Williams; 22 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; brother George and wife Linda Swift; and numerous nephews and nieces.Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 2, from 10 am – 2 pm.Funeral Services will be at 3 pm on Monday, December 3, at the Floral Haven Chapel.
