John Gregory Wieland's Obituary
John Gregory Wieland was born January 5, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan and passed away October 24, 2014 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. John was the son of Elmer and Carol Wieland. Growing up he attended Brimley Elementary and High School and later attended Laney Jr. College. After college he joined the Navy and served his country proudly for several years. John married the love of his life Carol Sullivan on November 15,1963. Together the couple raised five children. John worked communications technician for AT&T for most of his career. After retirement he joined the American Legion and always enjoyed attending their functions. John was friendly and had a playful sense of humor. He loved and cherished his family and would do anything for them. He was also a bit feisty and set in his ways but always had the best intentions. John will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him. John is preceded in passing by his parents Elmer and Carol Wieland and his son Stephen Wieland. John is survived by his spouse of 50 years Carol Wieland; son David Wieland; son Chris Wieland and his wife Ella; daughter Amanda Thompson and her husband Chris; son Anthony Wieland; grandchildren Sean and Matthew English, Anna Wieland and Benjamin Thompson. There will be a Memorial Service at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel
