Johna Anderson's Obituary
Johna Dena (Zachary) Anderson AKA Nonnie was born July 31, 1934 and passed into the open arms of her beloved Harry W. Stege May 2, 2024.
She married her high school sweetheart Robert (Andy) Anderson and they were together until his death November 1996, She has 3 children Bob (Bobber), Denise (her favorite) her husband Dave and Eric (he was bought at the army/navy surplus store) and his wife Robin. She has 3 Grands Justin his wife Fawna, Sara sadly deceased, and very much alive Katy. She also has 6 Greats who she absolutely loved Josephine, Ava, Sadie, Montgomery, Bryson and Charlotte. She also had many 4 legged babies and grand babies whom she loved and enjoyed baby sitting for.
Mom liked to keep busy and was active with volunteering with the church. She cooked and fed "starving" college students, she helped with donating computers to families who needed them and volunteered with the Tulsa Police Memorial.
Mom loved to travel and was lucky enough to travel overseas many times with girlfriends. A lot of times she would grab a girlfriend, pick a place somewhere new to go and have a day of fun and adventure. She loved traveling with Harry on river cruises or bus trips to see the hot air balloons or just wandering the shops of Santa Fe.
Mom was also a lover of music and books. She spent many evenings at the Jazz Hall or Gilcrease Museum or just relaxing at a park concert. She was always listening to music (she was so proud of herself for finding Spotify) or devouring audiobooks.
Mom was full of life, she liked to have fun and kid around, she laughed hard and easily. Mom will be missed by her family and many friends.
"Our love is measured by the pain we feel at the loss and the joy we have from our memories and the anticipation for when we are reunited"
In lieu of flowers she would like donations made to St. Jude, the Tulsa Police Dept. or your local animal shelter.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service to honor the life of Johna will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at 12:30 PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel
