Johnnie Labe Curtsinger's Obituary
Johnnie Labe Curtsinger, a resident of Broken Arrow, passed away December 24, 2019 at the age of 75. Ministry was his life’s work. He preached at Falls Creek, where he found Christ and surrendered to ministry. He was pastoring from the age of 18 (1962) and even in retirement serving as Pastor until 2017 (55 years). He received his doctorate in theology at Luther Rice Seminary and Southwestern Seminary. He enjoyed golfing, baseball, which he was a devoted St. Louis Cardinals fan and was a history buff but most of all he loved spending time with his family and traveling with them was his passion.He was preceded in death by parents, Homer and Mary Curtsinger; parents-in-law, David and Esther Fischer and great grandson, Hayes Curtsinger.Survivors include his loving wife, Kathy Curtsinger; son, Jeff Curtsinger and wife, LaDonna; daughter, Ginger Sousa and husband, Orlando; grandchildren, Michael Curtsinger and wife, Amanda, Landon and Logan Sousa; great grandchildren, Parker and McCoy Curtsinger; brother, Phil Underwood and wife, Karen and numerous other relatives.Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 pm Monday, December 30, 2019 at Calvary Baptist Church, 7216 E Admiral Place, Tulsa, OK 74115.In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to the church, (First Baptist Church in Owasso).
