Johnnie Roy Patton's Obituary
Johnnie Roy Patton, a resident of Broken Arrow, passed away October 30, 2017 at the age of 85. He was born November 29, 1931 to Freelun and Elizabeth (Shearer) Patton in Yonkers, Oklahoma. He served in the United States Army as a Corporal during the Korean War and was honored with the Purple Heart. He enjoyed gardening, fitness, fishing, cooking and freewill bicycle trips across Oklahoma but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Georgia Pearl Patton; parents, Freelun and Elizabeth Patton; twin sister, Georgia Floy Jones; sister, Ruby Wing and brothers, Howard Patton and Leonard Patton.Survivors include his son, Johnnie Patton and wife, Diane; daughter, Sheri Johnston and husband, Pat; daughter, Debra Jackson and husband, David; brother, Donald Patton; two sisters, Betty Sparks and Mary Dallas; seven granddaughters; two grandsons and twenty great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.Viewing will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Floral Haven Funeral Home.Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 3, 2017 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Paul Ortiz officiating. Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. that afternoon at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery.Military Honors will be conducted by the United States Army and the Patriot Guard RidersPallbearers will be Johnnie Patton, Jr., Johnnie Patton, III, Johnnie Patton IV, Pat Johnston, David Jackson and David Jackson, Jr.
