Johnnie Kenneth Ritchie III's Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Johnnie Kenneth Ritchie III, who departed this life on December 17th, 2024, at the age of 68. Born on August 2nd, 1956, in Carthage, Missouri, John dedicated his life to serving his country and community.
He honorably served in the United States Army as part of the 3rd Infantry from 1975 to 1979, during which he had the distinguished honor of serving as an escort to Presidents Ford and Carter. Following his military service, John devoted 30 years to Southwestern Bell as a dedicated employee.
Known for his quick wit and proud spirit, John's big personality and laughter lit up every room he entered. He loved his country deeply and made a lasting impact on all who knew him.
John is survived by his sons, John and wife Mercee Ritchie and Zach and wife Misty Ritchie; his sister Judy; and grandchildren Link, Samwise, Grace, and Hope. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie K. Ritchie Jr Georgie Ritchie, and his brother Lloyd.
John will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of service and the joy he brought to others will not be forgotten.
