Johnson D. Phillips, a resident of Broken Arrow, passed away September 14, 2017 at the age of 75. He was born April 4, 1942 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. He graduated from Okmulgee High School in 1960 and worked as a Letter Carrier for the United States Postal Service for 30 years.He was preceded in death by his parents William and Annie Phillips, and two sisters, Emma and Shirley.Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Linda Phillips; children Christie Fleck and husband Chris, Dewayne Phillips, Michael Puryear and wife Elaine, and Shelly Hathhorn and husband Shane; grandchildren Lacy and husband Bubba, Brandon and wife Regan, Candace, Riley, Kailey, Kaden and Alli; ten great-grandchildren; brothers Howard Phillips and wife Ann, Jim Phillips and wife Blanche, and Bill Phillips and wife Shirley; sisters Jewel Cox, and Ann Shelton and husband Bob; brothers-in-law Guy Singer and wife Jayne, and Mike Singer and wife Debie; many nieces and nephews who loved Uncle John very much.Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow with Chaplain Steve Holestine officiating. Burial will follow the service at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
