Jon Roger Malek's Obituary
Jon Roger Malek, 65 of Broken Arrow, passed away July 19, 2020. He was born February 24, 1955 in Billings Montana. Jon had a long career in construction. He worked for Sletten Construction Company for 23 years. Jon was the shop Supervisor for the Las Vegas branch until 2011. He then retired and moved to Oklahoma with his wife and family.
Jon was always looking for the next wild ride! He loved fast cars, motorcycles, and the thrill of living in the fast lane. He loved restoring old things and turning them into a thing of beauty. Jon was the happiest when he was working on his house or yard while all of his Grandgirls followed Papa Jon around picking up sticks. Jon loved playing the guitar and singing with the faith of God pouring from his heart. He would break out the guitar at every family get together. Jon enjoyed crusin’ every golf course and crackin’ jokes with his brother Dave. He tried to teach his wife, but could not even explain her golf swing.
Jon is survived by his wife, Marcy Malek, his children, Nicole (Martin) Lerch, Samantha (Justin) King, and Jacob Cox (Sabrina Pratt). His grandchildren, Jozalynn, Anberlin, Izabella, Josie, and Serenity. Brother, Dave (Pam) Malek. Sisters, Rhonda Denning and Lisa (Shane) Tracy. Nephews, Preston Malek, Nathan (Jessica) Malek, Michael (Char) Denning, and Nick Tracy, and Great nephews & niece.
Jon was loved by so many, but most of all his family.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held in Billings, Montana Labor Day weekend. More details to come.
