Jon William Shaffer's Obituary
Jon William Shaffer, a resident of Tulsa, passed away September 20, 2017 at the age of 74. He was born May 2, 1943 in Winfield, Kansas to John Curtis Shaffer and Lois Jeanne (McCreary) Shaffer. He enjoyed shooting guns, playing X-Box One and listening to Irish Music. He did a study on the Indian School at Tahlequah and wanted to play the guitar. Jon received his Bachelor’s Degree and was a welder and such a hardworking man with a very opinionated mind but a loving and kind man (to a fault sometimes). If he saw someone who even looked like they needed help with food or anything, he was right there to help, no questions asked. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.He was preceded in death by his parents, John Curtis and Lois Jeanne Shaffer; brother, Walter V. Shaffer; brother-in-law, Ralph Turney; three sister-in-laws, Betty Selvey, Drucilla Campbell and Evelyn Brown and nephew, John C. Shaffer.Survivors include his loving wife, Easter Lizabeth Turney-Shaffer; daughter, Rhonda Jeanne Shaffer; grandsons, David Reyes and Eric Chavez; sister, Tanna Jeanne Shaffer-Harrington; brother-in-law, Joe Harrington; four sister-in-laws; three brother-in-laws; sister-in-law, Sarah Shaffer and numerous nieces and nephews.Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
