Jon Michael Swan's Obituary
Jon Michael Swan born October 3rd, 1962 to Shirley (Culver) Eulitt in Tulsa, OK. Jon passed on to the Great Spirit, Wednesday, February 24th, 2016. Jon attended Jenks Public Schools, Hibing Community College and St. Cloud State University in Minnesota on an ice hockey scholarship. He married Tonya Wells in 1996. Jon was adopted and raised by his loving adoptive parents David and Betty Swan along with his adoptive sister Julie. Jon’s passion was ice hockey. He played from grade school through high school and onto college and continued to play in his local men’s league where he met many of his closest friends. Jon was a lover of all sports especially OU Football (Boomer Sooner) and the Denver Broncos. Jon enjoyed spending time with his many friends, Friday night Happy Hour with Don, Margaret, Buckwheat and Max, poker games with Zane and the boys, going to the lake, fishing, golfing and walking his faithful companion Max. In December 2014 Jon was given one of his greatest gifts. He found his birth mother, Shirley Eulitt. Shirley, her husband David and their three daughters, Shelley, Brandy and Susan welcomed Jon with open arms into their large loving family. Jon will be dearly missed by his loving wife Tonya and his constant companion Max. His mother Shirley and dad David whom Jon fondly called Pappa and his sisters, Shelley Fielder, Brandy Ratcliff and Susan Griffin. His uncle and aunt John and Susan Culver and and aunt Linda Ripley. His Mother and Father in law, John and Mary Crawford, Brother and Sister in law Chris and Kristi Rhinehart and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jon had a huge group of high school friends better known as the “South Side Rowdies”, whom he loved and cherished each and every one of their friendships. A celebration of life service will be held 12:30 pm, Saturday, March 5th in the Floral Haven Home Chapel in Broken Arrow, OK.
