Just came across this posting. I knew Jonita when we were attending school at Bacone College. My sincere condolence to her family.
Please accept my condolences and prayers for the family. I am the youngest daughter of Tony Alandzes, her cousin, who passed in 2016.
Sisters for life. God took your hand and closed your weary eyelids and whispered, come with me.
I will never know what words you wanted to say, things we will never do. Sleep and rest your weary body. God has restored you back to the highlight of your life. I can just see you in your beautiful dress dancing with mom, grandma, and the rest of the family. I love you always and I will miss you forever.
Rest In Peace my beautiful beautiful big sister. I will see you again. Save me a spot and put my chair there.
Love You Always,
Your little sister,
K-K
Jonita and I became good friends at Mtn. View Grade School and continued to be very close throughout high school graduation. I had talked to her several years before her passing. She told me I had taught her what a good friend was like. I was always proud of her accomplishments in school. She was beautiful in looks and spirit. My deepest empathy to her family and friends. Jo and I had so much fun growing up at the old home place near mtn view. I remember the go go dancers and the white boots they wore at the dances. I spent many nights and talked late into the night at the home of the Anquoe’s. The familiar voice as her grandpa called out to her, all the siblings, mom and grandma were a part of my life I’ll always treasure. We visited a couple years ago looking over the old school yearbook and had lots of laughs while Niel prepared us lunch at her home in Perkins. I will truly miss her voice and laughter. May our creator take care of her son and family members as they send her home to the familiar voices that have called her name. Jackie mammedaty
