Joseph B Burke's Obituary
Joseph joined the U.S. Army in 1940. During World War II he was stationed in Hawaii when Pearl Harbor was attacked by the Japanese in 1941. By war’s end he was a member of the 71st Infantry Division which was the first Allied force to enter and liberate concentration camps in Austria. After the war Joseph attended Bentley Business School in Boston, Massachusetts. He worked for General Electric Company for 35 years in Connecticut, Puerto Rico and Rhode Island as a Financial Analyst before retiring in 1987. Memorial services were held at Fellowship Congregational Church on Monday, June 14, 2004 in Tulsa, OklahomaSurvived By: his wife of 42 years, Marjorie Burke, daughters Grace Burke and Joy Bina, and grandchildren Sarah and Michael Bina,
