Joseph C. "Curt" Baker's Obituary
Joseph C. “Curt” Baker, 63, of Collinsville, died on May 16, 2014. He was born on November 25, 1950, in Hoisington, Kansas, the son of Curtis La Vern and Jane (Thomson) Baker. On August 28, 2000, he married Vikki Schmidt, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Curt enjoyed spending time with his family and riding his Harley. He had a carefree spirit, was always in a good mood, and loved telling great stories and jokes. He had a love of God, he never feared dying, his only thoughts were for the ones he left behind. He was an amazing man, husband, and father, and we will dearly miss him. Curt is survived by his loving wife, Vikki, daughters, Davina Jane “D.J.” Baker, of Muskogee, OK, Shelby Lynne Barrett, of Collinsville, granddaughter, Eliccia “Ellie” Lemur; sister, Davina “Dee” Hamilton, of Harrisonville, Missouri, aunt, Wilma Nagel, of Collinsville, cousin, Carla Fishback, of Collinsville, father and mother in law, Larry and Terry Sweet, of Dallas, Texas, father and mother-in-law, Richard and Kathy Schmidt, of San Antonio, Texas; his beloved dogs, Zena and Roxy, and numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
