Joseph Danner's Obituary
Joseph (Jack) Emerson Danner, 79, of Ponca City, passed away October 26, 2019 in Tulsa. He was born October 19, 1940 in De Graff, Ohio to Eugene and Katherine Danner. Joseph received his GED from the military where he was a tank commander. He transferred from tanks to chemical/nuclear warfare. He was a Sgt First Class and was also a platoon SGT for a time. He thoroughly enjoyed flying. If it had a propeller attached to it, he could figure anything out with it. he built a little plane called a KR -1, it had a Volkswagen engine on it and mom always teased him about it sounding like a lawn mower. Later in his 50’s he was able to obtain his dream of getting a larger 4 place airplane which was a Cessna 182, that allowed others to fly with him. He loved taking others for rides.Jack was preceded in death by his parents. Jack is survived by his wife, Evelyn Joyce Keith; son Joel Danner, daughter in law Valerie Danner; 2 grandchildren, Joshua Danner and Jadyn Danner; brother Steve Danner; 2 Sister in Laws, Lois Randolph and Vesta Born. Many other nieces and nephews also survive him.Visitation will be held Monday 4 -7PM with family to greet friends from 5 -7PM; Funeral Services will be held 3PM, Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Floral Haven. Jack will be receiving full military honors.
