Joseph Horace Rogers' Obituary
Joseph Horace Rogers, a resident of Broken Arrow, passed away Friday, May 6, 2016 at the age of 90. He was born April 19, 1926 in Eakley, Oklahoma. He married Ruby J. Pittman on November 16, 1948. They moved to the Tulsa area in 1951. Joseph was employed by CE Natco for 34 years. After retirement, he became an avid fisherman and they traveled to south Texas, during the winter in their RV.His parents were Jody and Ethel Rogers of Carnegie, also preceding him in death were seven sisters and two brothers, his twin sister, Marie, also Goldie, Mamie, Edna, Dorthy, Dicie, Ethel, Claud and JB Rogers. Survivors include his wife, Ruby Rogers of the home; three children, Loretta Robertson and husband, Steve of Branson, James Rogers and wife, Heidi of Broken Arrow and Reverend Gary Rogers and wife, Paula of Mustang; 5 grandchildren; five great grandchildren and a host of friends. Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday, May 9, 2016 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Gary Rogers officiating. Burial will follow the service at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow. Viewing will be Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Floral Haven Funeral Home.
