Joseph "Joe" Vidacak Sr.'s Obituary
Joseph “Joe” Vidacak Sr., 67, resident of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma passed away April 12, 2020. Joe was born April 30, 1952 to Paul Vidacak Sr. and Dorothy Elizabeth Vidacak (Gumpenberger). He was a devoted husband, brother, father, grandfather and friend. Joe proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Joe loved God, first and foremost. Family was a close second. Joe enjoyed hanging out with family, making family videos and legacy books. Toy was the love of his life and he was hers. She was his heartbeat. They were married 46 years and were inseparable! Joe was a jokester and kept life interesting for her and everyone he met. He had several hobbies including collecting coins, being outdoors, taking care of his yard and fishing. His children remember helping him use his metal detector to find treasures. Music was another one of his passions. His wife and children have fond memories of him playing the guitar and singing to them. Joe enjoyed a variety of music, especially later in life. Music was one of the things that helped him through his chemo treatments. He frequently indulged in chocolate and sweet tea… Man, he loved his sweet tea! Joe never met a stranger and going out to eat breakfast was his everyday routine. Joe was a complicated, yet simple and humble man enjoying the pleasures found in daily life.
Joe was preceded in passing by his parents, Paul and Dorothy Vidacak and his brother, Robert “Bob” Wittneben. He is survived by his beloved wife, Toy Vidacak; daughter, Christy Schafer and her husband, Russ; daughter, Angie Ganem and her husband, Tommy; son, Joey Vidacak Jr. and his wife, Virginia; grandchildren, Reid and Ross Schafer, Tripp and Taylor Ganem and Alex and Catherine Vidacak; his siblings, Shirley Bollmann, Pete Vidacak and Paul Vidacak, Jr. and numerous other family members and friends.
