Joseph "Joe" Ray Wagoner's Obituary
Joseph “Joe” Ray Wagoner, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother & friend; born Friday, October 22, 1943 in Gary, Indiana to his loving parents, Otis & Beth Wagoner; went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 22, 2016 in Tulsa, Oklahoma with his loving family by his side. Joseph or better known as “Joe” by his family and friends served his country honorably and proudly in the United States Army as a tank mechanic. While serving in the Army Joe was stationed in Germany; while at his duty station he attended a dance where he met the love of his life. After dating for a time they returned to her home town of Dublin, Ireland where they were married and started their lives together. Eventually they settled in Tulsa after Joe finished his service to his country; and Joe went to work for Union Public Schools as a building engineer until his retirement. Joe enjoyed many things in his free time such as fishing and watching movies especially James Bond and war movies. What Joe was truly passionate about were the moments he shared with his family that he loved so dearly. Fond memories of Joe of his “tell it as it was” personality and how his name will always live on as a legend in Dublin, Ireland will always be cherished by his family, friends and those who had their lives touched by him; as he will be deeply missed. Joe is preceded in death by his loving parents, Otis & Beth Wagoner. Joe is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-two years, Margaret Wagoner; his five loving children, Robert Wagoner, Kenny Wagoner, Keith Wagoner, Tina Wagoner and Anita Patterson & husband Donnell; his thirteen dearly loved grandchildren; his four precious great grandchildren; his dear siblings, Larry Wagoner, Sandra Wagoner, Myrna Bradley and numerous other nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at St. Benedict Catholic Church; 2200 W Ithica Street; Broken Arrow, Oklahoma 74012. Services have been entrusted to Floral Haven Funeral home, Floral Shop, Crematory & Memorial Gardens; 6500 S 129th E Ave; Broken Arrow, Oklahoma 74012.
