Stan Stasik .'s Obituary
Joseph Stanley “Stan” Stasik, Jr., 68, passed away June 18, 2021, at St. John Hospital. He was born June 14, 1953 at St. John Hospital to Joseph Stanley “Joe” and Edwina “Marie” Stasik, Sr. He graduated from Memorial High School. He studied photography, and worked as a picture framer for “Frame of Mine” on Brookside and Chelsea Gallery on Cherry St. He was also a bartender for many years, notably at Arnie’s Bar when it was located on Cherry Street. When Arnie’s was sold, he studied under Master Gilder Commander Howard Serlick USN Ret., Philadelphia to learn the ancient art of Gilding. He and his partner Victoria opened Joseph-Victoria Gilders, Tulsa, providing fine gold frames for local artists, David Fick, Mary Russell, and others. He was an animal lover, having many birds, fish, cats and dogs he loved deeply. He is survived by his longtime partner, Victoria “Vikki” Procell, sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Rick Wallace, nephew, Cory Wallace and wife Susan, nieces, Keely and Kari Wallace, great nephew, Jake Watson, great nieces, Paige Pendry and Sloane Wallace, and great, great niece, Parker Pendry. A memorial service to celebrate Stan’s life will be held at the Floral Have Chapel in Broken Arrow, OK, Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers please make a memorial donation to Street Cats, Inc. at www.streetcatstulsa.org.
