Josephine Lewis' Obituary
Josephine Lewis, age 92, passed away on July 16, 2014. She was born on September 20, 1921 in Garfield, Arkansas to her parents Joe and Myrtle Dye. She was the 4th child out of six children. After her graduation from Glenpool High School, she began working with J. C. Penney as a shipping clerk, a position she held for almost 20 years. On December 25, 1946, Josephine married the love of her life Albert Douglas Lewis; they shared 39 years together. Josephine cherished her family above everything, and enjoyed every moment she got to spend with them. She will be missed by all who had the joy of knowing her. Josephine is survived by her daughter Donna Lewis, her sister Maxine Cotner, her brother Clarence Dye, her granddaughter Cherie Poffenberger, and her 5 grandsons Doug Poffenberger, Merle Poffenberger, Marty Metz, Michael Metz, and Friedrich Metz.
