Here are a few of the good times we enjoyed with Josh.
In second grade flag football, Josh was my QB. He was very competitive. I had more athletic players, but Josh played with heart and hated to
lose.
During middle school years, Josh would come and stay the weekend with Geoffrey. Diane would always make sure she cooked steak at least one of the nights he was over. She loved to see the smile on his face when she told him we were having steak.
During those weekends, Diane told Josh “if he was going to stay the weekends, he would have to do chores” To her surprise, Josh replied “I’ll do chores” with a smile on his face.
Funniest story… 12/13 yr old baseball….Josh gets a single. While standing on first base, Josh began to throw up. Diane yells “OMG, are you okay”. No response… Inning ended, Josh runs over to the fence, raises his hand and yells at Diane “I’m okay.. I feel better!”. Josh would make us laugh with the most infectious smile!!
My most heartfelt moment…. Josh went to church with us. He went to youth group with Geoffrey. On our way home, Josh said “your church is nothing like I thought it would be”. I like to think that day Josh felt the Holy Spirit. We LOVED Josh!!!
