Joy Lee Hatch's Obituary
Joy Lee Hatch, 70, completed the journey to her heavenly home on April 22, 2016 after a valiant battle with a long illness. Her devotion to family and firm belief in God provided strength in this struggle and ultimately gave her peace. Joy was born on April 18, 1946 to Daniel “Frank” and Allee (Ely) Harrison in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She met and married the love of her life, James “Jim” Hatch on June 26, 1965 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and they shared almost 51 memorable years together. Joy attended Edison High School and the University of Arkansas. She loved interior design and had a passion for art. Her drawings and paintings of beautiful landscapes brought happiness to her life. She was immersed in the Christian community and explored the beauty of the gospel. She was a devoted member of Asbury United Methodist Church for 40 years. Joy is survived by her husband, Jim Hatch; her daughters Lorrie Bradshaw and Julie DeLong; her grandchildren Samantha DeLong, Emma DeLong, and Elizabeth Doerr; her mother Allee Harrison; and her brother, Frank Harrison. She is preceded in death by her father Daniel “Frank” Harrison. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Floral Haven Rose Chapel.
