Joy Pompa's Obituary
Joy Deeann James-Pompa 76, passed away Friday, September 1, 2017 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Joy was born to Ora Adeline Davis and Charles Robert (Cross) James of Wann, Oklahoma on July 16th, 1941 in Nowata, Oklahoma. Joy’s family lived in several places in the United States, Canada and South America as her father worked in the oil fields.Joy graduated from Central High School in 1959 and lived in Cochabamba, Bolivia – South America before returning to Oklahoma. Joy married Chester “Buddy” Gabriel Pompa on June 21, 1963 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.Joy is preceded in death by her husband, parents and several aunts.Joy is survived by her son: Michael Pompa, wife Valerie; daughter: Deanna Berge, husband Steve; two granddaughters: Breighana and Bayleigh Berge.
