Joyce Elaine Craig's Obituary
Joyce Elaine Craig passed away on September 30, 2025, at the age of 75, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Joyce was born on August 7, 1950, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, to Robert “Bob” and Carol Craig. She lived a life filled with dedication, passion, and love for her family, her country, and her community.
Joyce’s service to her country was evident through her 20+ years of distinguished service in the United States Air Force, where she earned the respect and admiration of her colleagues. Her commitment to duty and discipline was a reflection of the character she carried throughout her life. She retired as "Chief Master Sergeant." After her military career, Joyce enjoyed a quiet life in Broken Arrow, where she found new passions and continued to contribute to her community.
She married Sandra Buchanan, and together they created a home filled with love, respect, and joy. Joyce was a proud member of Adventist Fellowship Church, where she found spiritual fulfillment and built lasting friendships. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she cherished the connection to her church family.
Outside of her professional and spiritual commitments, Joyce had a deep love for the outdoors and an adventurous spirit. She was an avid fisher and could often be found near the water, enjoying the tranquility of nature. Joyce was also an avid sports fan, always keeping up with the latest games and cheering on her favorite teams.
Joyce’s kindness, warmth, and sense of humor made her a cherished presence in the lives of all who knew her. She was a loving daughter, a devoted wife, a loyal friend, and an inspiring role model. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her.
Joyce is preceded in death by her wife Sandra Buchanan and parents.
Joyce is survived by her sister Vicki Miller, sister Rosetta Nowlin and husband Lathan, sister Robin Westfall and husband Eddie, brother John Craig and wife Alisa, brother Ricky Craig and wife Veronica, grandson Nick Buchanan, great-grandsons Skyler and Elijah, along with many loved nieces, nephews, cousins, loved ones and friends.
Services will be held on Friday, October 10th, 2025, at the Adventist Fellowship Church, in Tulsa, OK, at 2:00 PM.
