Joyce Ann Kline's Obituary
Joyce Ann Kline, beloved wife, mom, grandma, and great grandma passed away peacefully at her home in Bixby, Oklahoma, on Monday, July 14, 2025, at the age of 82. She was born on May 19, 1943, in Eddy County, North Dakota, to August and Bertha Pahl. She married the love of her life Tony Michael Kline on December 14, 1962. They adored each other and were a perfect match. Together they built a beautiful and strong marriage filled with love, laughter, and devotion to each other and their family.
Joyce had the most caring, kind, and compassionate heart toward people, and was always present with a listening ear, a hug, or a word of encouragement. She was very wise and gentle with her advice, providing a word in season just when it was needed. Hospitality was something that Joyce enjoyed, and she loved cooking for people and having family gatherings. She was always planning for the next sweet treat that she could prepare for the family. When guests arrived, there was always a pot of coffee on and a sweet treat to go with it, and if you stayed for a while, you were sure to get a home cooked meal. She loved to work in the yard and plant flowers, helping to create a beautiful space to enjoy. In addition to her kindness, she had the most remarkable tenacity and strength in the face of any obstacle or adversity, showing her children and family the power of resilience, and the importance of having faith in the finished work of Jesus, whom she loved with all of her “heart, soul, mind, and strength.”
Joyce and her husband Tony lived for many years in Jamestown, ND, home of the “world’s largest buffalo,” until they moved to Oklahoma to be nearer to family. Joyce’s most treasured memories are the ones that she spent with her family. She loved her great granddaughters so much and was always interested in being a part of every little activity when they visited, whether it was outside in the yard, making crafts in the house, or just playing with unicorns and having tea parties. She loved it when her son and daughter-in-law traveled to see her because there was certain to be an outing or adventure that awaited. Family meant everything to her, and it didn’t matter if it was a family BBQ, Christmas, or just being together, she enjoyed it all! She deeply loved her brothers and sisters, and extended family. She was also so grateful for the lifelong friendship of 58 years with her best friend, Donna.
Joyce left a legacy of love, kindness, giving, and a true servant’s heart toward people. She showed by example the importance of faith through her devotion to her Lord and Savior Jesus, and the importance of family through her heartfelt prayers for them, and her acts of kindness toward them.
Joyce will be dearly missed by her children: son, Tony Kline (Cindy) and daughter, Julie Kline; grandchildren: Miles Kline (Morgan), Ryan Estrem (Barbie), and Sara Breeke (Chris); great-grandchildren: Lily Kline, Juno Kline and Huck Breeke; sister: Judy Geringer (John); and brothers: Gordon Pahl and Larry Pahl.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents August and Bertha Pahl; husband: Tony Kline, Sr.; and siblings: Jule Pahl, Alice Seibold, Sebastian Pahl, George Pahl, and Loran Pahl.
