Juanita P. Barr's Obituary
Juanita Pearl Barr ended her journey through this life on November 10, 2012, and began the joyful one that will never end. Her earthly life began on Dec. 29, 1928 in a farmhouse near Bentonville, Ark. She lived through a difficult childhood during the great depression years, but came through a survivor. She often told how her faith in God kept her strong throughout her life and gave her meaning and comfort. She went through school in Bentonville, Arkansas and graduated from the high school there. She went on to business college in Little Rock and spent all her working years in office work, mainly doing keypunch, one of the earliest computer systems. She worked at Sinclair Oil Co. for many years and retired from E.D.S. in 1991. She married Bobby C. Barr on November 20, 1959, and was a loving and faithful wife to him until his death. Though they had no children, she spent her love on her nieces and nephews and was an important part of their lives. Juanita was always active in church, teaching Sunday School and participating in church activities when she younger. She was a member of Garnett Road Baptist Church for many years. Even during her last years at Senior Suites nursing home, she faithfully attended church services. Throughout her life she was faithful witness, telling others of the Lord even in her nursing home days. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, James L. and Dorthy Boyd of Wichita Falls, Tx; 3 nieces; 2 nephews; and many great nieces and nephews. The family will be at Floral Haven for visitation on November 14, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. to greet friends who would like to stop by. All are welcome to attend the graveside services at 1 p.m. that day at Floral Haven.
