Judith King's Obituary
Judith King made her final journey to Heaven, Paradise, and The Summerland on July 7, 2022.
Judith King was born October 12, 1943, to Emma Morgan-Gilbert and Eddie Hamm in Oklahoma City, OK, USA. She was co-parented by Opal and Don Nelson of Oklahoma City. Judith graduated from Northwest Classen High School in Oklahoma City class of 1961. She worked until her retirement age in fashion retail, appliance sales, and administrative assistant positions.
Judith put her heart and soul into her full-time role of Mom until her dying day. Her commitment to mothering turned into grand-mothering and then great-grandmothering. She was incredibly proud of her children, grandchildren, and their children, surrounding herself with many portraits and photographs of them prominently displayed on her bedroom walls.
Judith loved God plus enjoyed learning from Eastern philosophies, logic, science, and reason. She was a proud member of the Choctaw Tribe of Oklahoma and passed that heritage onto her children. As the quintessential Earth Mom, she made her home reflect her interests from a wide range of artistic influences spanning Classic to Art Nouveau. Judith was a true renaissance woman with interests varing from the spiritual to the scientific in her reading choices. She loved wildlife of all sorts, and nature was her passion. She had a particular penchant for roses.
Judith always made dear friends where ever she found herself living from Tulsa and Oklahoma City to Mobile Bay in Alabama. She treasured her time in Fairhope, Alabama where she found her soul along a path through white sand and sea oats to the end of the pier. She came back to Oklahoma to be with her mother and reconnect with her long-lost daughter Sara.
