Judith Diane Schiltz's Obituary
Judith Diane Schiltz, known affectionately as Diane, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2023, at the age of 76. Born on March 21, 1947, in Muncie, Indiana, to Kenneth Graves and Grace Bischoff, Diane's journey was one marked by love, faith, and a zest for life.
Diane found lifelong companionship when she married Dennis R. Schiltz on December 22, 1967, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Together, they shared a bond that withstood the tests of time, creating a home filled with love and warmth.
Her hobbies reflected the diverse interests that colored her life. Diane found joy in fishing, camping, painting, sewing, crocheting, and attending car shows alongside her beloved husband. She loved her yorkie “Teddy” who remained by her side until the end and was a constant source of comfort and joy.
A woman of immense kindness, Diane dedicated herself to volunteer work at her church, exemplifying her unwavering commitment to her Christian faith. She volunteered at Hillcrest Center for Women’s Health, tutored students by learning Braille at Parkview School for the Blind in Muskogee and gave manicures and exercise classes at Covington Manor Nursing Home in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Her family often referred to her as "Ann Landers," a newspaper columnist who offered friendly advice for readers who wrote in with their troubles. She had a kind face and always listened to her friends and often strangers offering sound advice.
Diane is survived by her husband of 55 years Dennis Schiltz, her loving daughter, Beth Nanita, and son-in-law Wilfredo, her brother Michael Graves and sister-in-law Deborah, as well as her cherished grandchildren, Gabriel and Mia Nanita. In addition to her family, Diane is also survived by numerous friends who were touched by her compassion and grace.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Graves and Grace Bischoff, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a profound faith that will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Diane will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Memorial Mass and reception will be held for Diane Schiltz on Tuesday, November 21st at 11:00 am at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Broken Arrow, OK. It will be preceded by the Rosary at 10:15 am.
