Judy Ann Johnson's Obituary
Judy Ann Johnson, 74 years old, went to be with her heavenly father on February 22, 2016 after a courageous fight against Brain Cancer. Judy was born on July 4, 1941 to her late parents Wilson and Eileen (Swisher)Hopkins in Sedalia, Missouri. She chased life for her family. She regarded all above herself , seeking to minister to our every need no matter of importance. She had a servant heart. She enjoyed attending and supporting all of her children’s and grandchildren’s events. She enjoyed her Sunday School classes at Asbury United Methodist Church. Her career included working with Corps of Engineers, Lackland Air Force Base, Grand Forks Air Force Base, VA Hospital Little Rock, VA Hospital in San Antonio, and Fort Riley Army Base. She retired from Oklahoma Medical Billing in November 2015. She loved her dogs Ginger, Chloe , Annie (recently passed away) and her husband’s dog Pierre. Judy is survived and loved by her husband, Hans Johnson; her children, Christine and Wayne Granger, Round Rock, Texas, Kathryn and David Alexander , Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Gretchen and Michael Jaco, Vilonia, Arkansas, and Carl and Trish Johnson, Norman, Oklahoma. Siblings: Jerry and Deb Hopkins, Marshalltown, Iowa, Nancy and Don Beck, Grinnell, Iowa, Mary and Al Andrews, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Jim and Barb Hopkins, Grinnell, Iowa, Michael and Linda Hopkins, Durham, New Hampshire, Lori and Mark Rochford, Central City, Iowa and multiple nieces and nephews. Grandchildren: Tyler Granger, Shelby Granger, Jacob Alexander, Kyle Alexander, Cassity Alexander, Lauren Murphy, Conrad Murphy, Kaden Jaco, MacKenzie Reeves, Haley Johnson, Paige Johnson, Warren Johnson, Leah Johnson and adopted children. Preceded in death by her parents Wilson and Eileen Hopkins and son Clarke Johnson.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Judy Johnson’s memory to the American Cancer Society www.cancer.orgGraveside service will be 10:00 AM, Friday, February 26th, Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.Memorial service will be 11:00 AM, Friday, February 26th, Asbury United Methodist Church.
