Judy Ann Lau's Obituary
Judy Boewe Lau peacefully exited this earthly realm in the early morning hours of May 18, 2025. She spent the days preceding her transition to Heaven surrounded by her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren – singing and praying, sharing memories, laughter and tears together. A glorious homegoing!
Judy is survived by her loving husband Darrell Lau; she is preceded in death by her first beloved husband John Boewe. Judy is also survived by her children, Bart Boewe, Todd Boewe and Judi Jo Adams, and siblings Jean Rothrock and Jennie Ashburn. Judy is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Born on April 2, 1944, in Parkersburg, Illinois to Grant and Anna Mae Williams, Judy was one who loved life and lived it to its fullest, engaging everyone around her do the same! She spent decades as a florist and business owner alongside her husband, working hard and enjoying the journey. For much of her adult life, she counseled countless people in need of help in life and their walk with Jesus. Judy regularly opened her home to those who didn’t have one. As she worked, served and ministered to many, Judy overflowed with creativity and fun – an exceptional painter, gardener, decorator and host – a shining example of how to live life out loud, a true Proverbs 31 woman!
Throughout her life, Judy was a woman who was always there for her family. In a heartbeat, she was present and available for any family member. In every sense of the word, generosity was truly her love language.
Books could be written about Judy’s nation-changing, life-transforming prayer life! To know her was to experience God’s unending love and miraculous power through the passionate way she prayed. Judy was an integral part of helping her daughter’s family establish a worldwide ministry through her prayers, counsel, giving and traveling with them too. XploreNations Bible Colleges, Church at Glass Chapel and the many outreaches of Russ Adams Ministries through the years would not have the reach it does today without Judy’s influence and involvement.
